What do you say about a fancy food trip around the world with us?
Let’s say Rome, New York, Madrid and Sardinia?
-> We’ll start this adventure in our town, Rome, with this amazing plate in one of our favorite sushi restaurant:
- Fried Salmon roll with avocado and ginger [Sushi Mix] – Otosan, Rome
Salmon and avocado are a classic pairing, and serving them together in a sushi roll is always popular.
Add the ginger in this equation and you will get an amazing explosion of tastes that will drive you crazy: from the refreshing and subtle taste of salmon to the spicy yet sweet and warm ginger.
-> Our next stop will be in the caliente Spain – the land of muchachos, siestas, Flamenco, Pablo Picasso, beaches and, of course amazing food.
- Nachos with avocado, salmon tartar, jalapeños, Pico de Gallo with sour cream next to it – Madrid, Spain
We did as the Spanish people say ‘’Viva la Vida! Viva la Fiesta ‘’ – we gathered together with our friends for a Loca evening in a bar by the beach and of course, what better way to bring people together than a huge bowl of Nachos?!
As we know, salmon and avocado are basically made for each other.
Do you enjoy the painful pleasure of spicy food? Then the jalapeños are made for you.
Add the Pico de Gallo salsa to the mix (which is usually made of chopped tomatoes, onion, serrano peppers with salt, cumin, lime juice and cilantro) and you’ll have the nachos of your life!
-> Our next destination is The Big Apple in the Land of Opportunities – I’m talking, of course, about New York (New York, New Yooork ♩♪♬).
- New York Bagel with Salmon, Cream Cheese, Avocado and Capers – New York, USA
After we had a walk an amazing experience seeing for the first time the Brooklyn Bridge (which believe it or not, it’s older than Tower Bridge in London) we jumped into an Uber and we set the destination to Times Square.
That’s when I saw a place that sells bagels.
What’s a bagel you would ask? Well, it’s a bread product shaped in the form of a ring, roughly hand-sized that is first boiled for a short time then baked.
The result is a dense, chewy, doughy interior with a browned and sometimes crisp exterior.
A bagel is cut in half and stuffed with whatever your heart desires.
Mine was with Cream Cheese (of course!); we know avocado and Salmon cannot leave without each other and I added Capers, to remind me of beautiful Italy.
-> Our final stop – for now (for this part 1 anyway :D) will be in Sardinia
- Linguine pasta with fresh Lobster – Sardegna, Italy
Linguine with lobster are a recipe of Italian cuisine, a refined and tasty first course of the sea, perfect for an important dinner or lunch.
The delicate lobster pulp is cooked in a tomato sauce, enhanced by the intense and tasty flavor of the cartoon obtained with lobster shells.
The result is a true masterpiece that will captivate your guests from the first taste and it will make you say ‘’Mamma mia!’’
-> Nest stop?
We’ll have a look at the greek cuisine, romanian food, more amazing italian dishes and we’ll leave the rest to your imagination 🙂
